Videodrome DVD The classic body horror film from David Cronenberg is getting a brand spanking new release on DVD by Criterion. The special features look particularly impressive, and include full, unedited clips from the various "TV shows" featured in the film ("Samurai Dreams", et cetera).

Jurassic Park 4 It hasn't been greenlit, but John Sayles has just finished a draft. Based on this script review, it sounds completely insane. Not "insane" as a generic hype term, but literally insane... Off the wall... Completely bat s--t... I love it.

New director for MI:3! Joe Carnahan, director of Narc, has dropped out due to "creative differences," with only one month to spare before production. Who do they find to replace him? Brett Ratner. That's right. The filmic genius behind the Rush Hour movies. Thank the cinema gods...

What will you do with yours? The NS-5 is the world's first fully automated domestic robot, produced by US Robotics (not to be confused with US Robotics). Or maybe it's a promotion for a movie. Pretty good movie actually, true to the spirit if not the plot of the book.
